Advertising Disclosure

How EdgePeak makes money, which links are commercial, and the specific things that commission does not buy. Written plainly, because a disclosure nobody can follow is not a disclosure.

Last updated — August 2026

1. In one paragraph

EdgePeak earns commission when a reader opens an account with an operator after following one of our outbound links. That is our only revenue. It pays for the testing, the writing and the hosting. It does not influence our scores, our rankings or what we are willing to criticise — and every brand we currently feature has both a commercial arrangement and published criticisms on its review page.

2. How affiliate marketing actually works

Licensed gambling operators run affiliate programmes. A publisher such as ourselves is issued a unique tracking link. When a reader follows that link and later registers and deposits, the operator's system attributes the referral to us and pays a commission — sometimes a one-off amount per new customer, sometimes a share of the operator's net revenue from that customer, sometimes a mix.

The tracking is done by the operator, on the operator's own website, using their own cookies. We do not receive your name, your email address, your balance or your betting history. What comes back to us is aggregate commercial reporting.

Nothing is added to your cost. Commission is paid out of the operator's marketing budget. You do not pay more, receive worse terms, or forfeit any promotion by arriving through our link rather than typing the address directly.

3. Which links are commercial

Assume that any link taking you to an operator is commercial. In practice:

  • Commercial — every "Visit" button, brand logo link and call-to-action that sends you to a casino brand. These carry rel="sponsored nofollow" in the page source and are labelled beneath the button.
  • Not commercial — links to the Gambling Commission public register, to BeGambleAware, GamStop, Gamblers Anonymous, the ICO, or any other regulator, charity or support organisation. We are paid nothing for these and never will be. They are there because they are useful.
  • Not commercial — internal links to our own reviews and policies.

4. What commission does not buy

This is the part that matters, so it is specific rather than vague.

  • It does not buy a ranking. Position is a function of the score, which is a function of the published weightings on our About page. Higher commission does not move a brand up. We have never accepted, or been offered and accepted, payment for placement.
  • It does not buy a score. Ratings are set by the editorial desk against the same six pillars for every brand.
  • It does not buy silence. Every review on this website carries a "watch outs" section, and every brand we feature is criticised somewhere on its page. If we cannot criticise a brand honestly, we do not feature it.
  • It does not buy pre-approval. Operators do not see reviews before publication and cannot request changes to opinion. They may correct a factual error, and we will publish the correction.
  • It does not buy inclusion. Being in an affiliate programme is not a route onto the shortlist. Passing the assessment is.
  • It does not buy your data. We do not sell reader data to operators or anyone else. See our Privacy Policy.

5. Current arrangements

As at August 2026, we hold commercial affiliate arrangements with both brands currently featured on this website:

BrandLicensed operatorCommercial relationship
Winissimo ProgressPlay Limited — UKGC 39335 Yes — affiliate commission
Parimatch BV Gaming Limited — UKGC 39576 Yes — affiliate commission

We disclose this precisely because both brands carry an arrangement. If commission drove our editorial, the higher-paying brand would be at the top and neither would have a "watch outs" section. Compare the two review pages and judge for yourself.

We hold no equity in, and no directorship of, any gambling operator, and no operator holds any stake in EdgePeak Media Ltd.

6. How we protect independence in practice

  • Scoring weightings are fixed and published before any brand is assessed against them.
  • The person who negotiates commercial terms is not the person who sets the score.
  • We fund our own test accounts with our own money. We do not accept comped balances, free credit or hospitality from operators.
  • We will remove a brand from the shortlist if its assessment falls below our threshold, regardless of what it earns us — and we would rather run a shorter list than a compromised one.
  • We will not feature any operator that is not licensed by the Gambling Commission to accept British customers. No commission rate makes that negotiable.

7. What this costs you

Nothing. There is no subscription, no paywall, no charge of any kind, and no worse deal for arriving through our link. If you would prefer not to use our links, type the operator's address into your browser directly — the reviews remain free either way, and we would still rather you checked the licence than skipped it.

8. The advertising rules we work to

As a British publisher of gambling-related marketing content, we follow the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct & Promotional Marketing (the CAP Code) and the Gambling Commission's expectations for affiliates. In practice that means:

  • every page carries a clear 18+ notice and safer-gambling messaging;
  • we never suggest that gambling is a solution to financial problems, a route to social success, or a way to recover a loss;
  • we never imply that skill, a strategy or one of our reviews improves your chance of winning;
  • we never use imagery, characters or language likely to appeal to under-18s;
  • promotional claims are presented with their significant conditions, not stripped of them;
  • we do not create urgency or pressure to deposit.

If you think we have fallen short of any of this, tell us at complaints@edgepeak.co.uk. We take it seriously, and we would rather hear it from you than from a regulator.
